The CEO of Med Coalition, Mafruha Esha, gives a few remarks at the 2026 BMANA CA-NV Convention, reflecting on Med Coalition’s recent Winter Bangladesh Medical Mission and the impact of serving underserved communities in Sherpur, Bangladesh.
Despite concerns about the medical camp region’s distance from Dhaka, Mafruha expands upon how the mission focused on reaching populations with limited access to healthcare rather than communities already supported near the capital of Bangladesh. In collaboration with Med Coalition’s physician team, BMANA doctors and volunteers, and medical teams on the ground in Bangladesh, the mission provided care, resources, and support to patients in areas often overlooked by larger healthcare initiatives.

As a grassroots organization, Med Coalition relies on its dedicated volunteers and global partnerships to further its goals. Our partnerships with Hope Foundation, the Sonar Bangla Foundation, California International Agricultural Friendship Inc, IRDS, Direct Relief, the United Nations, and more drive us to continue our work in expanding access to healthcare globally.
