My name is Vivian Nguyen, and I am a junior majoring in Pharmacological Chemistry at UC San Diego to pursue a career in Research and Pharmacy in the future. As the Head of Editorial Research for Med Coalition, I will be in charge of editing the website content and any written materials about the program, which is in line with the work I have done previously as the Head of Press for my former school’s Model United Nations club.

My name is Lydia Shen, and I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Information Management at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My focus is on Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Information Systems. While carrying out my tasks as the IT Officer for Med Coalition, I aim to bridge the gap between Technology and Business because I am passionate about transforming data into actionable business insights.

My name is Jenna Parker, and I am currently attending the University of South Florida, majoring in Microbiology. My work as a Research Strategist for Med Coalition shall be aided by my current job at a veterinary hospital and my previous research on bacteriophages, since these experiences will solidify the informed decisions I make whilst overseeing the operations of the Genetic Research Fellow program for the Hajdu-Cheney Syndrome.

Hi, I’m Riha Prasad and I will be an incoming Research Strategist with Med Coalition. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Integrative Biology. The experiences I have gained across clinical research, patient engagement, and community health through roles at UCSF, Alameda Health System, and Amicis Research Center will assist me with this role. My focus has been advancing health equity by combining rigorous research with culturally competent care. Outside of academics and research, I enjoy organizing Health and Wellness events that bring communities together. I’m excited to keep building on these experiences as I prepare for the next step in my path toward medicine.

Hello there! My name is Raina Das, an incoming Research Strategist with MedCoalition. I am currently a senior at the University of North Texas, set to graduate this December. I’m majoring in Public Health with minors in Medical Anthropology and Chemistry. I currently work and intern at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas — the busiest pediatric ER in the country and the only Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in the region! My experiences there have truly shaped me to be a better health communicator. I’m thrilled to be a part of MedCoalition and utilize my skills in a meaningful way!

My name is Allison Libby, a Biology undergraduate at University of Richmond with a double minor in Mathematics along with Data Science and Statistics. I am interested in a career in either biotech, medicine, or dentistry, which is the main drive for my role as the Volunteer Coordinator for Med Coalition’s medical programs. Furthermore, as the Vice President of Operations for the Red Cross Club at my school, my experience in recruiting volunteers and coordinating logistics for blood drives and fundraising events will assist me with my work here at Med Coalition.
